Baja California Sur


Baja California Sur , officially Estado Libre y Soberano de Baja California Sur (English:Free and Sovereign State of Baja California Sur), (literally: South Lower California), is one of the 31 states which, with the Federal District, comprise the 32 Federal Entities of Mexico. Before becoming a state on October 8, 1974, the area was known as the South Territory of Baja California. It has an area of 73,475 km2 (28,369 sq mi), or 3.57% of the land mass of Mexico and comprises the southern half of the Baja California peninsula, south of the 28th parallel. It is bordered to the north by the state of Baja California, to the west by the Pacific Ocean, and to the east by the Gulf of California, also known as the "Sea of Cortés." Also, the state has maritime borders with Sonora and Sinaloa to the east across the Gulf of California.
As of 2005, the population was 512,170. The state is home to the tourist resorts of Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. Its largest city and capital is La Paz, a tourist resort and historic landmark. It includes Loreto, the historic first capital of all threeCalifornias (Baja California Sur, Baja California, and California), the town of Santa Rosalía which is the site of a historic church designed by Gustave Eiffel.
Typical food

In Baja California Sur food based on marine products. Some of the most outstandingdishes are lobster, clam chocolate, shredded steak stingray and imperial (a wheelsurrounded shrimp pressed with bacon and grilled preparations), not to mention the porkin tamarind sauce. Some people to accompany these foods often used as a drinkClamato (tomato juice and clam flavored), or on the rocks damiana, which is made fromthe wild plant of the same name, whose properties are held and healthy popular.

Jalisco

Jalisco is one of 31 states that together make up the Federal District of Mexico's 32states.
Located in the west of the country. Adjacent to the State of Nayarit to the northwest,Zacatecas, Aguascalientes to the north, Guanajuato to the east and Colima andMichoacán to the south. To the west, Ontario has a significant coastline on the Pacific Ocean.
Jalisco is the fourth most populated federal entity in Mexico and one of the most developed states in the country in terms of economic, commercial and cultural. In parts ofthe capital and some municipalities the standard of living is comparable to countries likeSpain and Italy, but like the rest of Mexico is not representative of all municipalities. Itscapital is Guadalajara, whose metropolitan area is composed of the municipalities ofGuadalajara, Zapopan, Tlaquepaque, Tonala, Tlajomulco, El Salto, Ixtlahuacán of quinceand Juanacatlán, making it the second largest urban agglomeration in Mexico after thecapital. It is the land of cowboys, rodeos, Palenque, mariachi, tequila and many of thetraditions in the world are associated with authentic Mexican.

Tourism 
Sanctuary of the Lord of Lightning (Temastían, Totatiche): The altar is a statue of Christthe Lightning, which dates from the fourteenth century.

St. James Parish (AMEC): Built in the sixteenth century had modifications until 1930.

Parish of the Immaculate "Ex Franciscan convent (Etzatlán): One of the first monasteriesfounded in Nueva Galicia, which began in 1539.
Templo de San José de Analco (Guadalajara): Data from 1543, its facade is pureplateresco indigenous ornamental details.

Parroquia de San Francisco (Tepatitlan de Morelos): Building of the eighteenth andnineteenth centuries.

Guest House (Lagos de Moreno): Data of the seventeenth century, stayed there DonMiguel Hidalgo y Costilla on its way through the city of Lagos de Moreno in 1808.

Chapel of the former Hacienda "El Cabezon" (AMEC): Built in 1858, has a wooden altarpiece carved Churrigueresque, still preserved in the State of Jalisco.

Fuerte del Sombrero (Lagos de Moreno): Monument erected in memory of theinsurgents who fought for independence.

Cathedral Basilica "Santuario de la Virgen de San Juan de los Lagos (San Juan de losLagos): Data from the eighteenth century, its pink stone facade.

Lagos de Moreno Parish: Completed in 1784, its facade is baroque anástilo (withoutsupporting columns or pilasters).

Temple of Our Lady of Aranzazu (Guadalajara): Built between 1749 and 1752, hasultrabaroque style altarpieces and Churrigueresque. It was declared a "MonumentColonial in 1932.

Expiatory temple (Guadalajara): Data from 1897 and is Gothic.

Catedral Metropolitana de Guadalajara (Guadalajara): Data of the nineteenth century, has several styles, towering Gothic.

Teatro Rosas Moreno (Lagos de Moreno): Built in the nineteenth century.

Templo de San Jose Obrero (Aranda): Neo-Gothic style. Its cover has two bodies andthree axes.
Santuario de la Virgen del Rosario (Talpa): Built in 1782.
